In short

  • You must be 18 or older.
  • Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive people: such content is removed and its sender's account is closed.
  • Report a message or a person from inside the app. We act on every report within 24 hours.
  • Aura's answers are written by a computer, and Aura changes nothing until you confirm it.

This agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Spidigo for your use of the nTher apps and of this website (together, "nTher"). You accept them when you tick I agree to the Terms of use and have read the Privacy policy on the "Before you use nTher" screen, and by using nTher. If you do not accept them, do not use nTher.

Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data, and our child safety standards are part of these terms.

Who can use nTher

  • You must be 18 or older. The app asks you to confirm it, and to accept these terms, before you can send anything. Until you do, you can read but not send.
  • You use nTher as a member of an organisation, such as your employer, your club or your league. Your organisation may have its own rules; follow those too. It may end your membership under them.
  • Your account is yours alone. Give accurate details when it is made, keep your password, recovery key and devices safe, and do not share, sell or lend your account or use anyone else's. You are responsible for what is done with it.

What you must not do

Use nTher to talk, share, organise and take part in your organisation's life. You must not send, share, upload or store anything, including your name, profile picture or a question to Aura, that:

  1. sexually exploits or endangers a child, or sexualises a minor in any way;
  2. is obscene, pornographic or sexually explicit, or shares an intimate image of anyone without their consent;
  3. harasses, bullies, threatens, intimidates or stalks anyone, or invades their privacy, including their bodily privacy;
  4. insults or attacks anyone for their gender, religion, caste, race, ethnicity or another protected characteristic, or promotes enmity between groups;
  5. threatens or encourages violence, self-harm or terrorism;
  6. threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, its friendly relations with other countries, or public order, or incites an offence;
  7. impersonates a person or an organisation, deceives people about where a message comes from, or spreads information you know to be false or misleading;
  8. is spam, a scam or a fraud, or encourages money laundering or gambling;
  9. belongs to someone else and you have no right to share it, or infringes copyright, a trade mark or another right;
  10. contains a virus or other harmful code, or tries to break, overload or get around nTher's security;
  11. breaks any law in force.

You must also not try to make Aura do anything this list forbids, or act beyond what your own account may do; copy, collect or scrape other people's data from nTher; or copy, modify or reverse-engineer the apps, except where the law allows it.

Zero tolerance, and what we do

We do not tolerate objectionable content or abusive people. When we find, or are told about, content or behaviour that breaks these terms, we remove the content and close the sender's account, and we may refuse a new one. Where the law requires it, or a person may be in danger, we also report it to the police or other authorities and keep what they need. We always report content that sexually exploits children.

Reporting and blocking

Report a message

Touch and hold the message, choose Report…, pick a reason and choose Send report. The message is hidden for you at once.

Report a person

Open their profile (touch and hold one of their messages, then View profile) and choose Report their name…. On Android, you can also find them under the conversation's Members.

We act on every report within 24 hours. Reports go to our moderators; the person reported is not told who reported them. A report carries the reported message and a few messages around it from your own copy, so we can act on reports from end-to-end encrypted conversations, which we cannot otherwise read. An answer from Aura can be reported with Report this answer where your app offers it; a report sends your question, the answer and the name of the model that wrote it. For anything you cannot report in the app, write to support@nther.com.

Blocking. Open a person's profile and choose Block. Their direct messages stop appearing, on all your devices. What they post to a group you are both in still appears, so you miss nothing the group is told; report them or leave the group if you need to. They are not told. You can unblock them in Settings › Account and security › Blocked people.

Aura and the statistics assistant

  • Aura's answers, summaries and translations are written by a computer and can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Check anything important before you rely on it.
  • Aura changes nothing on your behalf until you confirm it on a card that says exactly what will change. What you confirm is done as you.
  • Aura's models run on computers we operate. Where a request leaves them (a web search, or a task handed to Claude, made by Anthropic), the privacy policy says so, together with what Aura receives and what is kept.
  • If you record a call or a meeting, you must tell the people in it first, and follow the law that applies to recording them.
  • In JFSC, the statistics assistant answers from the league's own records. It is provided by JFSC's league platform, and its answers are the platform's.

Your content

What you send stays yours. You give us permission to store, copy, send and show it only as needed to run nTher for you and the people you send it to. That permission ends when the content is deleted, except for copies already delivered to other people and copies the law requires us to keep. If you send us an idea, we may use it without owing you anything.

The service

  • We work to keep nTher available and secure, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors, or that no message will ever be lost. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose, and turn on Secure Backup.
  • We may change, suspend or stop any part of nTher. If we stop it entirely, we will tell you in advance and give you a way to save your conversations.
  • The apps are licensed to you, not sold. nTher for Android installed from our website updates itself; you agree to receive those updates.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app: Settings › Account and security › Delete account (see Delete your account). We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, or if your organisation ends your membership. The sections on your content, liability and the law continue after your account ends.

Liability

As far as the law allows, Spidigo is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profit or opportunity, arising from your use of nTher. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that the law does not allow us to limit, or takes away any right you have as a consumer.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India decide any dispute about them, without taking away any right you have to bring a claim where you live.

Grievances

Under the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, you can complain about anything on nTher, or about how we have handled a report, to our Grievance Officer:

Grievance Officer
Pankaj Lanjewar, Aerdome Ventures Pvt Ltd
Phone
+91 22 6866 3378
Post
501, Nanavati Mahalaya, Homi Mody Street, Fort, Mumbai 400001, India
  • We acknowledge a complaint within 24 hours and resolve it within 15 days.
  • A request to remove content that shows a person's private area, nudity or a sexual act, or that impersonates them (including a morphed image), is acted on within 24 hours.
  • If you are not satisfied with the Grievance Officer's decision, you can appeal to the Grievance Appellate Committee within 30 days.

Changes to these terms

When we change these terms in a way that matters, we tell you in the app before the change takes effect and ask you to accept the new terms before you send anything again.

The App Store and Google Play

If you downloaded nTher from Apple's App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and Apple has no obligation to support the app. Apple and Google are not parties to these terms.
